“An apple a day keeps the doctor away” and “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
What do these sayings have in common?
What are some ways you can stay healthy? Take advantage of your insurance plan’s prevention services. Most plans offer screenings for things like blood pressure, depression, lung cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, diabetes, obesity and much more.
Also take advantage of getting flu shots, vaccines and immunizations for children and adults at little or no cost.
Keep in mind, your cost-sharing charge (what you have to pay) can be zero when you go to an in-network provider. If the provider is out-of-network, you most likely will have to pay a fee for the service.
