Data Harvest Naming Convention Update
Updates to Data Harvest Web Service Publishing/Naming Conventions
Beginning with the upcoming 2025 Address Point data releases, some changes to how web services are published and named are incoming.
Rather than publishing a standalone annual snapshot dataset (for example, Road Centerlines of Indiana 2025) and updating the Road Centerlines of Indiana Current web service, the IGIO will only update the Road Centerlines of Indiana Current service.
Once the 2026 data is eventually collected and published, the 2025 version will be archived as a standalone service Named Address Points of Indiana 2025. To use the most recent version of any Data Harvest dataset (Parcel Boundaries, Administrative Boundaries, Road Centerlines, or Address Points), users can connect to the web service ending in Current. These datasets will be updated annually. If a user has a need to go back to a specific year’s data, please browse for one ending with the year that’s needed. The screenshots below show examples of thumbnails for these datasets that can indicate what version of the data the service contains in addition to the name. The thumbnail without a year represents the current or best available version of the data:
