Dan Joins the IGIO

Dan Council is joining the Indiana Geographic Information Office as a Geographic Information Outreach Coordinator. Over the past three years, Dan has been in Toronto, Canada, where he earned a Master of Spatial Analysis from Toronto Metropolitan University. During this time, he also gained valuable experience in the private sector, specializing in geodemographic analysis for marketing and advertising purposes. Before his time in Canada, Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Ball State University and served as a GIS Intern with Porter County.

Now back in his hometown of La Porte, Indiana, Dan will focus on collaborating with counties across the northern region of the state. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active at the gym, traveling, and spending quality time with his new nephew.
