  • Description

    Ravinia State Forest is located on Duckworth Road near Paragon, next to Morgan County's Burkart Creek Park. It encompasses 1,500 acres of wooded rolling hills and valleys, and can be accessed via several parking areas located off Duckworth, Parker, and Big Hurricane roads. The property was acquired by use of the Indiana Department of Transportation’s Crossroads 2000 fund.

    Ravinia State Forest is one planting location for the Division of Forestry's ForestIN program, an effort to plant a million trees by 2025.

  • Activities

    Recreational opportunities at Ravinia State Forest include hunting, wildlife viewing, hiking, and gathering of wild berries, nuts and mushrooms.

    Hunters must follow all state regulations.

    Many miles of trails are available for hiking. All visitors are encouraged to wear hunter orange during hunting season.
