Proposed CADP Rule Amendments

Notice

The Court Alcohol and Drug Program Advisory Committee recommends amendments to the Rules for Court-Administered Alcohol and Drug Programs to clarify or simplify the certification expectations in several rules. Additionally, the proposed changes

  1. require program staff to obtain the CSAMS credential within two years from the date of hire with limited exceptions
  2. clarify that failure to obtain the CSAMS credential during the required time prohibits the staff member from performing professional staff member duties
  3. authorize the performance of certified problem-solving court services to qualify as the performance of required professional staff member service hours, and
  4. programs will be limited to the use of specified education curricula

The Advisory Committee invites public comment on the proposed revisions until 12:00 p.m. (Eastern) on Monday, March 3, 2025. Comments may be submitted online or by mail.
