Statistics and highlights of Indiana Supreme Court work available online
The Indiana Supreme Court annual report is available online. Chief Justice Loretta Rush will speak to media about the report on Tuesday, October 7 at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern) in the Supreme Court conference room (Statehouse Room 319). The 70+ page Supreme Court annual report provides information about the work of the Court and its affiliated agencies during the fiscal year (July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025). In addition to providing statistics on the cases considered by the Court, the report also details the administrative work of the judicial branch.
Some of the information included in the data, milestones, and important projects, include:
- The five justices reviewed more than 692 cases, heard 48 oral arguments, and handed down 50 majority opinions
- 77% of all court opinions were unanimous
- Established a strategic data modernization program
- Adopted new Guardian ad Litem Guidelines for Civil Family Law Cases and published a registry of certified GALs
- Over 25,000 continuing legal education courses were accredited by the Office of Admissions and Continuing Education
- Courts made 10,300 calls to Language Line for telephone interpreter services
- Continued development of a statewide jail management system that will provide policymakers with accurate jail data as they confront overcrowding issues
- More than 1,100 hours of training were offered to judicial officers and other justice system stakeholders
