Indiana’s pretrial initiative seeks to support implementation of a risk-informed pretrial system that will maximize release, court appearance, and public safety. Indiana Criminal Rule 2.6 is the foundation for the pretrial initiative, while incorporating broader legal and evidence-based best practices in pretrial operations.
