Most sheep and goats moving in commerce must have official Scrapie flock ID tags.
The USDA will provide up to 100 plastic Scrapie flock ID tags free-of-charge to new or first-time participants. You must purchase tag applicators at your own expense. They are not included with tags provided by USDA.
Existing Indiana flock owners who need to reorder official tags must purchase them directly from a tag supplier. To purchase official tags, you will need to provide your Federal Premises Identification number (PIN), Scrapie flock ID number, and tag sequence to the tag supplier.
NOTE: This Application cannot be used to reorder Scrapie tags. This Application is intended for Indiana sheep and goat owners only. If your flock is located outside of Indiana, you must request official Scrapie flock ID tags directly from your state of origin or the USDA by calling 1-866-USDA-TAG or emailing scrapie@usda.gov.
