Beginning July 1, 2021, Indiana Code ch. 20-26-7.1 requires a school corporation or its governing body to receive a certification from the Office of the Attorney General before selling, leasing, demolishing, holding without operating, or otherwise disposing of a school building. It also requires the Office of the Attorney General to investigate complaints that a school corporation has not complied with the requirements of this chapter.
