IPL General Rate Case (2017/2018)

Indianapolis Power & Light Co. (IPL) is seeking a base rate increase in IURC Cause No. 45029.

The OUCC's attorneys and technical staff are reviewing IPL's request and are scheduled to file testimony on May 24, 2018.

Consumers may comment for the case record by sending written comments to the OUCC or by speaking at either of the IURC's upcoming public field hearings in Indianapolis:

  • April 23, 2018: Arsenal Technical High School (Anderson Hall), 1500 E. Michigan St.
  • May 7, 2018: New Augusta Public Academy North (Auditorium), 6450 Rodebaugh Rd.

In supplemental filings submitted on February 16, 2018, IPL reduced its proposed increase from $124.5 million to about $96.7 million to reflect the federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017:
