OUCC > Electric > Key Cases By Utility > Richmond Municipal Electric Rates Richmond Municipal Electric Rates

The IURC approved rates for Richmond Power & Light (RP&L) in 2005.

Electric utilities can also adjust rates due to changes in purchased power costs. Those costs can only be recovered on a dollar-for-dollar basis. They include OUCC review and IURC approval before taking effect.

As of July 2016, Richmond's electric rates rank fifth-lowest among the 14 electric utilities the IURC regulates.
