American Suburban Utilities, Inc. (ASU) is seeking a rate increase in a recently filed IURC case. ASU provides sewer service in Tippecanoe County.
The utility's request would raise rates in 3 phases due to capital projects. If granted, the residential flat rate would eventually rise from $47.50 to $89.63 (under revised testimony the utility has filed). ASU's current rates took effect in 2000.
The OUCC is reviewing the utility's request and is scheduled to file testimony on January 8, 2016.
Written consumer comments are invited for the OUCC's review and for the case record. Please see the OUCC's October 27, 2015 news release for more information. An IURC public field hearing was held in West Lafayette on November 16, 2015.
