Pioneer Transmission Project
Pioneer Transmission, LLC is proposing to build a 240-mile 765-kilovolt (kV) electric transmission line from Spencer County to Howard County, along a route passing through west central Indiana. The company is a joint venture of Duke Energy and American Electric Power (AEP).
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) has approved a settlement agreement among Pioneer, the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC), Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO), and IURC testimonial staff.
