Martinsville Municipal Water Rate Case
New rates for the City of Martinsville's municipal water utility were approved on December 12, 2012. The
Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission's (IURC's) 13-page order approved a settlement agreement between the city and the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC).The city's original request would have raised monthly water charges for a residential customer using 5,000 gallons per month from $21.16 to $31.43. The approved agreement limits water charges to $29.62 for the same usage.
Municipal sewer rates are not under IURC jurisdiction and were not at issue in this case.
