Base Rates

Ohio Valley Gas is seeking a base rate increase in a pending case. Its current base rates were approved in December 2012.

The utility's proposal would raise its annual revenues by $3.24 million. In testimony filed on April 20, 2017, the OUCC recommends limiting the increase to $1.46 million:

Ohio Valley Gas has filed a motion to extend its rebuttal filing deadline. This case's evidentiary hearing has been rescheduled to July 7, 2017.

The OUCC issued a March 24 news release to invite consumer comments. An IURC public field hearing was held in Connersville on April 3.

Quarterly Gas Cost Adjustments

Natural gas utilities may adjust rates on a quarterly basis to recover wholesale costs. OUCC review and IURC approval are required. To review these filings by Ohio Valley Gas, click here and enter cause number 44147.
