Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power (CEL&P) is seeking new rates in IURC Cause No. 44684.

The OUCC is scheduled to file testimony on January 12, 2016. Written consumer comments are invited, and an IURC public field hearing is scheduled for December 1, 2015 at Crawfordsville High School. The hearing will start at 6:30 p.m. with an OUCC informational meeting at 6:00 p.m. The OUCC's October 27 news release offers additional information.

The IURC approved Crawfordsville's current rates in 2010.

Electric utilities can also adjust rates due to changes in wholesale power costs. Those costs can only be recovered on a dollar-for-dollar basis. OUCC review and IURC approval are required.

As of July 2015, Crawfordsville's electric rates rank 10th among the 14 electric utilities the IURC regulates.
