Local Rules Standards
On December 13, 2004, the Indiana Supreme Court Division of State Court Administration issued, and the Indiana Supreme Court approved, standards for the preparation of local court rules pursuant to Indiana Trial Rule 81. These standards, which include a schedule and format for preparation of local rules, took effect January 1, 2005, and all existing local rules must be compliant with these standards by January 1, 2007. The standards were first amended March 4, 2005, then amended November 30, 2005, and amended again March 1, 2010.
On December 27, 2005, the Indiana Supreme Court Division of State Court Administration issued, and the Indiana Supreme Court approved, standards for the submission of caseload allocation plans pursuant to Administrative Rule 1(E). These standards were first amended on February 1, 2011.
