NEW! Emergency Vehicle Communications (aka Pursuit Training) Classes Added

The Integrated Public Safety Commission (IPSC) will be providing Emergency Vehicle Communications Training (Dispatcher Pursuit Training) on selected dates in September and October. This class is available for the dispatcher who has never had the experience of calling a pursuit as well as for the seasoned dispatcher who wants to sharpen their skills!

Attendees will learn about components of vehicle and foot pursuits, echo procedures, Telecommunicator duties, broadcasting principles, documentation, interoperability talk groups, and other topics. This class will be a hands on learning experience of calling pursuits set by national standards.

IPSC has partnered with both the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) and the Indiana State Police (ISP) to provide this unique opportunity. After receiving classroom instruction, Dispatchers will "call" pursuits as new recruits practice Emergency Vehicle Operations skills. All classes will be held at the ILEA, 5402 Sugar Grove Road, Plainfield, Indiana 46168-0313.
