The QMRP-D Program refers to a class offered by IPAS. Individuals completing the class will meet the basic requirements of a QMRP-D. The class does not qualify an individual as a QMRP.

What are the goals of training?

  • To provide nursing home personnel with a basic understanding of the legal and human rights of people who are developmental disabled, and
  • To provide nursing home people with a basic, working knowledge of
    • The characteristics associated with the various developmental disabilities,
    • The legal rights of people with developmental disabilities,
    • The Indiana service delivery system - how it is structured and how it best can be used to assist people who are developmentally disabled, and
    • The Individual Habilitation Plan - its rational, its development and its implementation.

Currently, the classes are held twice annually. The cost is $250 per person. Download the registration form to enroll in the class.
