Terry R. Curry

Elected Prosecutor in November 2010, Terry Curry has practiced as a trial lawyer for more than 30 years in Indiana and Federal courts.  His diverse trial experience from 1978 to the present has included employment as a Deputy Prosecutor in the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, as a law firm partner, and as a solo practitioner.  He has served as lead counsel in more than 125 court and jury trials, arbitrations, and injunction hearings.

Prosecutor Curry is a graduate of Butler University.  After graduation in 1971, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1973.  After discharge from the Army, he was employed as a reporter for the Indianapolis News from 1973 to 1975.

In 1975, Curry entered Indiana University Law School to pursue his dream of becoming a trial attorney.  He graduated with highest honors of summa cum laude in 1978.

Prosecutor Curry spent six years as a deputy prosecutor until he was elected the Marion County Prosecutor. He is a member of the board of directors of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council.

Curry and his family live in Indianapolis, where he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
