Pat Baldwin has been the Prosecuting Attorney for Hendricks County since 1995. Previously she served as deputy prosecutor in Hendricks County (1980-1990) and Boone County (1991-1994). She was also engaged in the private civil practice of law from 1979-1993. An honors graduate from Ball State University where she received her BA, Summa Cum Laude, in 1976, and her law degree in 1979 from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis. She has completed several courses put on by the National College of District Attorneys, including the Executive Course on Prosecution Leadership, as well as Courses at the National Advocacy Center.
Pat Baldwin is the Director of the United Drug Task Force, a multi jurisdictional unit funded in part by ICJI. She is a member of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Association and the National District Attorneys Association. She is a member and past president of the Hendricks County Bar Association. As Prosecutor she serves on the Hendricks County Safe Schools Committee and the Substance Abuse Task Force and Community Relations board for the DOC. Her community activities include serving Boy Scouts of America as a badge counselor and on the Hou Koda District Nominating Committee, and many years of school activities as a “sports mom”, Band Parent President, 4H volunteer and Girl Scout leader. Active in her church, she has been a religious education teacher, a member of the Liturgy Committee and past Board Member of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Pat and her husband are proud parents of 4 grown children, a daughter in law, son in law and 3 grandchildren.
