Brian Abbott

ABOUT:
Brian Abbott is an eighth grade Mathematics teacher and team leader at Riverview Middle School, who has served in that position since 2004.
He previously taught seventh and eighth grade mathematics at Eastbrook Junior High School for 20 years. Abbott is also certified to teach Statistics for Managers, a 5-week adult education course.
In May 2012, Abbott was a candidate for the HCCSC Teacher of the Year. He was Teacher of the Year at Eastbrook Junior High School in May 2004.
He received his Indiana State Principals (initial practitioner) license for Kindergarten through grade 12 in 2005 and his Indiana State Teachers life license in Mathematics for grades 5 through 12 in 1983.
Abbott has served as the Assistant Men’s Baseball Coach for Indiana Wesleyan University since 2008. He previously served in the same capacity at Manchester College from 2007 to 2008 and at Huntington University from 1998 to 2007. He is a member of the Indiana Association of School Principals and the American Baseball Coaches Association. From 1987 to 2004, he was recognized as a seven time Grant County Coach of the Year and three time Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) District Coach of the Year.
Abbott holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Huntington College (Huntington University), a master’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in Secondary Administration and Supervision, both from Ball State University.

Chris Atkins

ABOUT:
Chris Atkins was appointed by Gov. Mike Pence to serve as director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Atkins has a wealth of fiscal policy experience including service as policy director for Mike Pence for Indiana, and as general counsel and policy director for Gov. Mitch Daniels in the OMB.
Atkins helped Gov. Daniels craft and implement the historic 2008 property tax reform legislation, the 2011 corporate tax reform legislation which lowered the corporate income tax rate by 20 percent. As OMB general counsel, he had responsibility for regulatory oversight of state agencies.
Previously, Atkins held several tax and fiscal policy positions in national organizations, including Senior Tax Counsel at the Tax Foundation in Washington, D.C.

Tim Berry
Auditor of the State of Indiana
Tim Berry has served as the Chief Financial Officer for the State of Indiana since 2007. As State Auditor, Berry has cut office expenditures 17 percent to levels consistent with year 2000 spending. Under his leadership, Indiana implemented a fully integrated financial system, providing more efficient and transparent government. Additionally, Indiana’s annual financial reports have received the highest standard available from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) each year of Berry’s tenure as State Auditor.
Berry previously served two terms as Indiana’s Treasurer. In that role, he earned a record $1.7 billion for Hoosier taxpayers through the prudent investment of state dollars. Berry led the effort to obtain favorable legislation providing tax incentives for families saving for college through the CollegeChoice 529 plan. As chair of the Wireless 911 Advisory Board, Indiana was recognized as a national leader for wireless 911 network technology.
In 2005, Berry received the Jesse Unruh award, given to the nation’s most outstanding state treasurer. He earned the 2003 Presidential Award of Excellence by the Association of Public Safety Officials, and was the recipient of the American Heart Association’s “Heartsaver Award.”
Berry served as President of the National Association of State Treasurers and Chair of the National College Savings Plans Network. His efforts led to recognition by the State of Israel Bonds in 2003 and the Indianapolis Business Journal recognized Berry with their “40 under 40” designation in 2000.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Indiana University.

Randy Brown

Randy Brown is executive vice president and Chief Human Resources Officer for Indianapolis-based WellPoint, Inc. His key areas of focus include succession planning and talent management, compensation and benefits, workforce development, diversity management and associate engagement.
Before joining WellPoint in June of 2001, Brown served in a variety of human resources leadership roles for RCA (1982-1987), GE (1987-1991) and Thomson Multimedia (1991-2001). At Thomson, Brown was vice president of Human Resources for 25,000 associates in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
Brown was hired by Anthem, Inc., in 2001 as Chief HR Officer. He transitioned the company's HR environment from that of a mutual insurance company to a publicly traded company, introducing stock-based compensation programs for the first time. He has been the HR integration leader during mergers with Trigon, Lumenos, WellChoice, and WellPoint Health Networks – the merger that created WellPoint, Inc.
As a member of WellPoint's Executive Leadership Team, Brown reports to the Chief Executive Officer and provides staff support to both the Compensation Committee and the Executive Committee of the company’s Board of Directors.
Brown received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude, in economics from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and World at Work organizations.

Ken Cochran

Kendall Cochran has served as the President of Hamilton Southeastern Utilities, Inc. since 1989.
Cochran previously served as the Senior Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff to Gov. Robert Orr for eight years, and as the Executive Assistant to Lt. Gov. Robert Orr for eight years.
Since 1989, Cochran has also served as the Vice President for Sanitary Management & Engineering Co. Additionally, he serves as President of Indiana 811, the organization which is responsible for the one-call center for underground utility locates in Indiana.
Cochran holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Indiana University School of Business.

Jodi Golden

ABOUT:
Jodi Golden has served as the Executive Director of the Indiana Education Savings Authority (IESA) since 2007. As Director, she manages the administration and marketing and promotion of the Indiana CollegeChoice 529 Direct Savings Plan and the CollegeChoice Advisor 529 Savings Plan, both tax-advantaged education savings vehicles.
Golden previously worked with the Indiana Republican Party where she began fundraising for the State Chairman, and candidates for Secretary of State, Treasurer of State and Auditor of State. In addition, she worked in fundraising as a Development Associate for a non-profit hospital.
Earlier, Golden served as a Legislative Assistant with a Central Illinois Senator and as a Policy Analyst with the Illinois House of Representatives.
Golden has been a member of the MPA Advisory Board since April 2008. She sits on the Indianapolis Downtown Inc. Marketing Board, as well as the College Savings Plan Network’s Communications Committee as the Social Media Chair.
Throughout her career, she has helped manage a number of state and local political campaigns. Golden recently served as a Communication Liaison for the Super Bowl 2012 Host Committee, as well as positions within the Kennedy-King Neighborhood Association and the Marion County Alcohol Beverage Commission.
Jodi holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations, and a master’s degree in Public Administration, both from Southern Illinois University.

Michael Pinkham

ABOUT:
A 32-year veteran firefighter, Michael Pinkham is a Battalion Chief with the Fort Wayne Fire department. As a firefighter, he also is a member of the Indiana Public Retirement System’s 1977 Police Officers' and Firefighters' Pension and Disability Fund (1977 Fund).
Pinkham holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and is active in the Professional Firefighters Union of Indiana, where he serves as Secretary-Treasurer.

Kyle Rosebrough

Kyle Ann McKinley Rosebrough is a Kindergarten teacher at Burkhart Elementary School in the Metropolitan School District of Perry Township.
She has served as a Kindergarten teacher from 1975 to 1978, and 1979 to present. She taught first grade from 1978 to 1979.
In 2008, she was recognized as an outstanding teacher in her school.
Rosebrough serves as the Secretary for Indiana Professional Educators, Inc. She previously held a position on their legislative team for 12 years.
Earlier, she served as the Finance Advisor for Kappa Kappa Gamma at Butler University for 10 years, and as an advisory board member for the Perry Local Educators Association for six years. For twelve years, she was a board member for the Concerned Educators Against Forced Unionism (CEAFU).
Rosebrough holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, both from Butler University.

Swanson previously advised technology investors as executive editor of the Gilder Technology Report for eight years, and later was a senior fellow at The Progress & Freedom Foundation, where he directed the Center for Global Innovation.

Appointed by the Governor by July 15, 2011, the board consists of the following:
- One (1) trustee must have experience in economics, finance, or investments.
- One (1) trustee must have experience in executive management or benefits administration.
- The Director of the Budget Agency, or his designee, shall serve on the Board.
- Two (2) trustees must be nominated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as follows:
i. One (1) must be an active or retired member of the 1977 Fund.
ii. One (1) must be a TRF member with at least ten (10) years of creditable service. - Two (2) trustees must be nominated by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate as follows:
i. One (1) must be a member of PERF with at least ten (10) years of creditable service.
ii. One (1) must be a member of TRF with at least ten (10) years of creditable service. - The Auditor of State, or his nominee, shall serve on the Board.
- The Treasurer of State, or his nominee, shall serve on the Board.
