Section 4 runs from U.S. 231 near Crane NSWC/NSA to State Road 37 south of Bloomington and is approximately 27 miles in length. The section Record of Decision was received in September 2011. Section 4 was designed and constructed utilizing a combination of Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build contracts. Of the 7 construction contracts, 6 were traditional Design-Bid-Build contracts and 1 was a Design-Build contract.
Section 4 opened to traffic on Dec. 9, 2015.
