Brooks School Road was opened to traffic over Interstate 69 in September 2017 after Milestone Contractors rebuilds the bridge deck as part of the I-69 Major Moves 2020 construction project. A sidewalk for pedestrian access will be added in 2018.
After receiving feedback and suggestions, construction was temporarily paused the project to allow the City of Fishers and INDOT to review plans.
The City of Fishers and INDOT decided to proceed with bridge deck construction, make temporary modifications, and open the bridge to traffic as soon as possible.
Pedestrian access is currently being designed, and construction of pedestrian access is planned to resume in the spring of 2018.
