The Communications Division oversees INDOT's obligation to provide taxpayers, lawmakers, employees, and news media access to information about the department's projects, programs, and initiatives. It is responsible for creating and distributing messages and materials that support agency goals, values, and the brand among internal and external audiences. The Division also communicates directly with motorists, residents, and elected officials who contact INDOT regarding a specific issue or concern and conducts public involvement and public hearing activities. Division staff produces various communication products of general interest, and oversees the agency's website and social media channels.
