INDOT's Rail Office is dedicated to preserving and developing freight and passenger corridors throughout the state of Indiana. This is done through financial assistance to railroads and port authorities, participation in regional planning groups, and monitoring rail industry developments.

FY 15 Industrial Rail Service

The Rail Office is pleased to announce ten railroads were selected to receive Industrial Rail Service Fund Grants for FY 2015.    Those selected include the following:   Grand Elk Railroad, Indian Creek Railroad Company, Indiana & Ohio Railway, Indiana Northeastern Railroad Company, Indiana Southern Railroad, Kokomo Rail, MG Rail, Inc., Michigan Southern Railroad Co. d/b/a Napoleon,  Defiance, & Western Railway, Toledo, Peoria & Western Railway, and the Winamac Southern Railway.
