Safety

INDOT places an emphasis on safety through a variety of different programs and initiatives. Protecting Hoosiers on our roadways and getting employees home safe after each workday is the top priority.

INDOT Safety Goal

In connection with INDOT's Buckle Up Phone Down initiative, the agency is committed to reducing fatalities and incapacitating injuries on Indiana roadways by 25 percent in 10 years by working in partnership with local governments to prevent injuries and loss of life and by collaborating with employees and external partners to continue to foster a safety culture.
