Inservice Training
In addition to mandatory training, the Academy conducts a variety of advanced training courses for police officers. Areas of advanced training include: emergency vehicle operations, firearms, physical tactics, photography, breath tests for intoxication, female survival tactics, domestic violence/sexual assault, death investigations, and leadership and management courses. Most of these courses are a week in length and are available to officers after they complete their basic training program.
