... served twelve (12) years with the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department prior to joining the staff at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in January of 1995. However, before entering law enforcement, he taught secondary education in the Danville Community School System.

Lieutenant Younce is a graduate of the seventy-sixth (76th) Basic Session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, the one hundred and ninety-eighth (198th) Session of the FBI National Academy, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University.

Lieutenant Younce serves as the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy's Special Projects Coordinator and is a Certified Instructor in the areas of D.A.R.E., Photography, Jail Operations/Management, Emergency Vehicle Operations, and Instructor Development.
