The Indiana Department of Insurance, Performance Assessment Network and its Associates (PAN), and Ivy Tech State College have teamed up to offer a comprehensive way for candidates to register for and schedule their exams, to make it as easy as possible for all candidates.
Registration and scheduling are two different procedures: registration is the process of choosing the exam and paying for it (PAN), scheduling is choosing an appointment and location to take the exam at an Ivy Tech Testing Center.

The following security procedures will apply during the exam:
FAILURE TO FOLLOW ANY OF THESE SECURITY PROCEDURES MAY RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR EXAMINATION. IVY TECH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO VIDEOTAPE ANY EXAMINATION SESSION.
Examinees with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity may be eligible for accommodation in the testing process to assure you that the tests accurately reflect skills, knowledge or abilities. Ivy Tech Test Centers are fully compliant with ADA guidelines and will provide reasonable accommodations. If you require special accommodations for your exam, please indicate this during your online exam registration and scheduling process.
If English is not your primary language, you may qualify for additional time for your exam. If this is the case, please indicate this during the online registration and scheduling process.
At the end of your test, you will receive a printed score report. The report indicates your overall score and grade, including the numerical percentage of questions answered correctly, and whether you passed or failed. It also reveals how you did on the major section of the test as defined by Examination Content Outline.
The percentage correct in each major section of the test is displayed. The primary purpose in providing sub-scores for each part of the examination is to guide you, your employer and your pre-licensing education provider in areas requiring additional preparation for retesting in the event you are unsuccessful. Even when you are successful, you may wish to focus on the areas that might require additional attention as you begin to provide insurance products and services to the public.
Because examination outline sections are allocated different numbers of questions in the examination, the section percentages will not average out to your total passing score. Your total passing score is computed by dividing the number of questions you answered correctly by the total number of questions in the examination. The total score is NOT computed by adding the sub scores and dividing by the total number of subsections. A sample License Examination Score Report is shown below:
