The Indiana Minority and Women's Business Enterprises Division has executed cooperative agreements with the Women's Business Enterprise Council - Great Lakes (WBEC-GL) and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), wherein certifications from this organization will be considered as recommendations toward the state's MBE/WBE certification. 

Certification Partnership Process

WBEC-GL or INDOT must refer your certified company to the Indiana Minority and Women's Business Enterprises Division. This referral privilege is only available to active WBEC-GL or INDOT certified companies headquartered in Indiana. WBEC-GL or INDOT will submit a certification packet to the Indiana MWBE Division upon receipt of a Information Release Form from the client applyinWBEC-Great Lakes logog for certification.

Once the certification packet is received by the State from WBEC-GL or INDOT, your company will be receive via mail a notification:

  • Confirming the referral.
  • Requesting the State's application be completed
  • Requesting your company provide the State a copy of the company's financial records

A site visit may be required if WBEC-GL or INDOT has not performed a site visit within the last three years.
