Muncie, Ind. – Food, childcare and information on resources will be provided for free Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Price Hall (704 S. Madison St.) in Muncie during a Community Resource Night sponsored by the Indiana Civil Rights Commission. The event, which will begin at 6:00 pm, will bring local and state resources to the community.

“It is important that we reach every corner of the state in our education and outreach efforts,” said Jamal L. Smith, Executive Director of the ICRC. “We want to ensure that people in the community are aware of what services are available to them.”

Representatives from the following organizations will be on hand to provide information and details about the programs and services they offer:

  • Indiana Civil Rights Commission
  • Indiana Black Expo, Inc.
  • Delaware County Minority Health Coalition
  • Muncie Community Schools
  • Boys and Girls Club of Muncie
  • Life Stream Services, Inc.

Childcare and programming for children will also be made available courtesy of Precious Hearts Development Center. A prize drawing will also take place. Food will be provided by Panera Bread. For more information, call Ava Y. Taylor, Public Outreach and Events Manager, at (317) 232-2641.
