On behalf of Governor Mitch Daniels, I welcome you to the Indiana Gaming Commission's website. The IGC has the statutory responsibility to license and exercise regulatory oversight of our 11 riverboat casinos. It has been charged with licensing and regulatory authority over Charity Gaming which includes bingo, charity gaming nights, raffles, door prize drawings, festivals, water races and the sale of pull tabs, punch boards and tip boards by qualified non profit organizations. This year's General Assembly increased our jurisdiction over new slot machine parlors at Indiana's two horseracing tracks. It also empowered the Commission to create a license control division and a gaming control officer division to combat illegal gambling in our state. We are dedicated to assuring all Hoosiers that gaming in Indiana is conducted with unquestioned integrity and strictly within the bounds of the law and regulations.
