History:

How Does It Work:

Take a quick trip to the store, choose your family favorites or go through your house and ask your friends and family to collect some of your favorite new or gently used children's books (picture books for the very young to chapter books for teenagers).

Drop off your books at participating branches starting January 1, 2007 of Marion County Public Library OR you may also hold a donation drive in your organization.

All books received will be sorted by children's librarians and other volunteers according to reading level and then 25 age appropriate books will be placed into durable book bags and handed out to each of the 2,000 Foster Youth and young adults in Marion County during the next year.

It is just that simple... and what a profound impact on our community of Foster Youth!
