All Indiana employers are required to report all newly hired employees to the New Hire Center within 20 days of the hire date pursuant to Indiana Code, Section 22-4. 1-4-2 and the Federal Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA).

Employers may use the following methods to report new hires:
