Bar Examination Topic Changes
March 3, 2026 | Announcement
Effective with the July 2026 exam, the following areas will no longer be tested on the Multistate Essay Examination portion of the Indiana Bar Examination:
- Conflict of Laws
- Family Law
- Trusts and Estates
- Secure Transactions
Please note that from July 2026 to February 2028, both Family Law and Trusts and Estates matters may still appear on the Multistate Performance Test.

Waiver of Educational Requirements

The Office of Admissions and Continuing Education is now accepting requests for waiver of the educational requirements under Admission & Discipline Rule 13 for taking the Indiana bar exam.
