Precision Farming

PrecisionPrecision farming (or Site Specific Management) is the strategy to treat sections of a farm field according to its specific needs, rather than treating fields uniformly. Most precision farming techniques use Global Positioning Systems to tie specific field information to a specific location in that field. Precision farming saves time, chemicals and other crop production cost. It has the potential to greatly reduce the environmental impact of farming.

Precision farming technology also makes it much easier for farmers to
conduct research on their farms.
