Upcoming Attorney Training

​We are pleased to announce TWO upcoming Guardian ad Litem attorney training dates. We will hold a training Crown Point on August 26, 2016, and another in Indianapolis on October 20, 2016. Both trainings meet the statutory requirements for GAL attorneys who represent children in juvenile court cases. Those who complete the entire training will receive six hours of CLE; one hour of which is ethics. There is no cost to attend, but lunch is on  your own. You can bring your own lunch or we can provide a list of nearby restaurants.

You will receive a confirmation email with the complete details. Space is limited, so register as soon as possible. Please call the GAL/CASA State Office at 800-542-0813 if you have any questions. 

2016 GAL/CASA Conference

Be sure to save the save the date for the 2016 Indiana GAL/CASA Conference, “More Than Words.” The conference is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Marriott East in Indianapolis. There are 15 great breakout sessions and a powerful keynote presentation planned.

This year we are once again offering hotel accommodations on site at the Marriott (for the Conference rate of $98.00 per night) and next door at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites at the special rate of $74.00 per night. Registration for both hotels are open at the discounted rate until September 8, 2016.

Cost to attend the conference is $50.00 for GAL/CASA staff and volunteers and $75.00 for GAL attorneys not affiliated with a local GAL/CASA volunteer program. We will also offer a Friday Night Social Event for an additional $20.00 for those who wish to attend.
