This section presents general information on hospital discharges in Indiana in 1996 using the number of discharges, total length of stay and total charges. The data are summarized by hospital peer group, patient age, patient sex, county of hospital, discharge status, and payor. Table I-7 in this section lists the hospital peer groups and their current hospital assignments alphabetically. The final table is a cross index of current (1998) hospital names together with the names by which some hospitals have been known in the past. For example, the former Indiana University Medical Center is now known as Clarian Health Partners Inc., IU/Riley Campus
