Local Language Access Plans

In accordance with the Language Access Plan for the Indiana Judiciary, the Indiana Supreme Court’s Language Access Advisory Committee (LAAC) encourages all Indiana courts to provide guidance for the provision of language access services to limited English proficient (LEP) and deaf and hard of hearing individuals who come into contact with the court system.

To that end, LAAC is providing a language access plan (LAP) template to local courts to use or modify in any way they deem appropriate based on local procedures and resources. Should courts choose to develop their own LAP, they will still benefit from the language within the template.
