Take a Career Assessment
Complete a Career Interest Inventory
Are you searching for a career that’s right for you? That’s exactly what a career interest assessment provides. It asks you questions about what you like to do and suggests a list of careers that might be a good fit for you.
Get started by creating a profile on the Indiana Career Explorer, if you don’t already have one. Keep your login information in a safe place, because you can also use this account to create a resume, get interviewing tips and search for jobs in Indiana.
Take the assessments
You will have several choices of assessments on your homepage for the Indiana Career Explorer. The career search will help you connect your interests to specific careers. You can also take the assessments to match your skills—things you’re good at—or your values to specific careers. Take all three assessments to learn the most about the careers that are the best match for you.
Use the Indiana Career Explorer’s career profiles to learn more about careers or career clusters that interest you. But take your research deeper, too. Talk to professionals in careers you think might be a good fit for you. Consider an internship to boost your hands-on experience. Or, take a class in a new subject and see if you like what you learn.
