Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission regulates electric, natural gas, telecommunications, steam, water and sewer utilities. The commission is a fact-finding body that hears evidence in cases filed before it and makes decisions that balance the interests of all parties to ensure that utilities provide adequate and reliable service at reasonable prices.

Membership: Five commissioners appointed by the governor.

Governor's appointment:

• David Ziegner (Greenwood)

Ziegner was first appointed by Governor Evan Bayh in 1990. This is his fifth reappointment. His term will expire April 1, 2011.

Vincennes University Board of Trustees
The board holds the university's financial, physical, and human assets and operations in trust for future generations.

Membership: 10 gubernatorial appointees, Vincennes University president, Vincennes Community School Corporation superintendent, South Knox School Corporation superintendent, and North Knox School Corporation superintendent.

Governor's appointment:

• Doug Bawel (Jasper), president and CEO of Jasper Engines & Transmissions and former chairman of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce

Term expires October 5, 2007.
