Daniels appoints Ball State trustee

INDIANAPOLIS (January 24, 2007) ¿ Governor Mitch Daniels announced today the appointment of Richard Hall to the Ball State University Board of Trustees.

Hall is a partner at Barnes & Thornburg in the government services and finance department. He previously served as a law clerk to Judge Michael Kanne of the United States Court of Appeals. He also was the only male student-athlete in the nation to receive a Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship for academic excellence, athletic achievement, and commitment to public service by the NCAA. Hall received his undergraduate degree from Ball State University and his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.

¿Rick¿s leadership will be a great asset to Ball State as it continues to enhance its critical role in Indiana¿s economic growth,¿ said Daniels.

Hall¿s appointment is effective immediately and will expire December 31, 2010.
