Waiver of Distance Learning Continuing Education Cap:The Indiana State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service has waived 832 IAC 4-1-1(e), removing the maximum hour of continuing education that may be obtained through distance learning. This waiver is set to expire at the end of the public health emergency. A copy of the waiver can be found HERE.

Notice: In response to COVID-19 and the impact it is having on the State of Indiana, the Professional Licensing Agency will have the majority of our staff working remotely in the coming weeks. The State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service has reviewed the balance of the Consumer Protection Fund for Cemetery Maintenance pursuant to IC 23-14-48.5-7 and determined that payment into the fund will be required March 1, 2021 for sales made in the calendar year 2020. Please refer to IC 23-14-48.5-5 or the online form to determine how you are to calculate your payment. Your payment (by check or money order) should be accompanied by the Disclosure & Payment into the Consumer Protection Fund for Cemetery Maintenance form. You may obtain that form online at https://www.in.gov/pla/3693.htm.

Licensing Information

Applicants for personal/individual funeral licensing may apply online now! Go to MyLicense.IN.gov and you will either need to create or login to your Access Indiana, single sign-on account. You will complete the online application and submit payment with a credit or debit card. You will complete the online application and submit payment with a credit or debit card. You will be contacted by a customer service representative with details of what additional documentation is required to complete your application. Applications are process in the order received.
