- Auctioneer and Auction Company licenses expire February 28th of every fourth year (2016, 2020, etc.).
- Pre-Licensing and Continuing Education Coruse Providers expire February 28th every even year (2020, 2022, etc.)
- Renewal fees can be verified on the fee schedule.
- Auctioneers are required to obtain sixteen (16) hours of continuing education during each four year license period. For more information regarding CE please visit our continuing education requirements page.
Renewal notices are sent approximately ninety (90) days prior to the expiration date. License holders with valid email addresses on file will be emailed the renewal notice. Those who do not have valid email addresses on file will be mailed the license renewal notice; this notice is mailed to the address of record with the Commission. The Commission has no way of knowing whether or not a notice reaches its destination; therefore, when a notice has been emailed to a valid email address or mailed, the duty of the Commission has been performed.
Online renewal at mylicense.in.gov is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for most license renewals. Online renewal takes only minutes, and your renewal will be processed and available for verification the next business day.
If online renewal is unavailable please contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org to determine any requirements for renewal or reinstatement.
If your license is in Inactive status, you can renew to Inactive status online. If you wish to change your Inactive status to Active, you must submit your renewal by mail along with proof of the required 16 continuing education credits. If you currently hold an Active license and wish to renew to Inactive you may renew online by selecting "Yes" when asked if you would like to put your license in Inactive status. When renewing to inactive status, you are not required to complete continuing education requirements. An auctioneer with Inactive status may not perform an act that requires an auctioneer license.
