Silver Creek Water Corp Rates

UPDATE (9-2-2020): The IURC has issued its final order in this case.

Silver Creek Water Corporation is seeking a rate increase in IURC Cause No. 45363-U.

The not-for-profit utility provides service in Clark and Floyd Counties. Its current base rates were approved in 1985.

In its testimony, the OUCC's recommendations would allow a monthly residential bill for 5,000 gallons to rise from $29.35 to $30.80.

The OUCC issued a July 2, 2020 news release to invite consumer comments.

All publicly filed documents are available online in the IURC case file.

Silver Creek Water Corporation filed this case under the state's Small Utility Filing Procedure. The procedure is a streamlined process aimed at reducing rate case expenses. But the standard of review by the OUCC and IURC is the same as in all rate cases.

This page will be updated based on case developments.
