I&M Energy Efficiency Plans
Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) is seeking approval of an energy efficiency plan for 2020 through 2022. The electronic file for Cause No. 45285 is available on the IURC website.
In its order for the utility's 2017-2019 plan, the IURC approved a settlement agreement among the OUCC, I&M, industrial customers and the City of Fort Wayne.
Previous energy efficiency programs for I&M were approved in December 2014 and June 2016.
In the 2016 case, Cause No. 43827 - DSM 5, the OUCC recommended denial of I&M's request to recover lost revenues and shareholder incentives through rates. The IURC order denied shareholder incentives. It approved the recovery of lost revenues through customer rates, capping the recovery at a 4-year period.
The OUCC website offers an overview of energy efficiency cases including the agency's role.
