I&M Energy Efficiency Plans

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) has received approval of an electric energy efficiency plan for 2017 through 2019. In its September 20, 2017 order, the IURC approved a settlement agreement among the OUCC, I&M, industrial customers and the City of Fort Wayne.

The public case file is available by visiting the IURC website and entering cause number 44841. This proceeding is separate from the utility's pending base rate case.

I&M is offering energy efficiency programs under IURC orders issued in December 2014 and June 2016.

In the 2016 case, Cause No. 43827 - DSM 5, the OUCC recommended denial of I&M's request to recover lost revenues and shareholder incentives through rates. The IURC order denied shareholder incentives. It approved the recovery of lost revenues through customer rates, capping the recovery at a 4-year period.

The OUCC website offers an overview of energy efficiency cases including the agency's role.
