Business Surveys:

  • Annual Integrated Economic Survey (AIES):This survey is the annual measure of American business and the economy. It is conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, and response is required by law.
  • Annual Retail Trade Survey (ARTS): This is a mandatory survey that provides estimates of key economic data for the retail trade sector. It specifically focuses on employer firms (those with paid employees) in the United States that are classified in the retail trade sector, as defined by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).

  • Census Engagement Navigator: An interactive tool that allows users to visualize census return rates across different areas of the country.
  • Census Geocoder: A tool that provides interactive and programmatic access for matching addresses to geographic locations.
  • Census Research Exploration and Analysis Tool (CREAT): A tool to analyze, categorize, and sort the economic research from the Center for Economic Studies (CES).
  • Community Resilience Estimates (CRE): A tool that tracks social vulnerability to disasters at the neighborhood level.
  • Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS): Allows users to create custom estimates and tables using individual-level data from the ACS, without personal identifying information.
