Health Improvement Alliance

Vision

To be the healthiest county in Indiana.

Mission

The St. Joseph County Health Improvement Alliance works to improve the overall health and well-being of our community by facilitating partnerships, growing opportunities, and creating a strong public health infrastructure and workforce.

History

The St. Joseph County Health Improvement Alliance was formed in the fall of 2011 after our county completed the National Public Health Performance Standards Assessment through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the University of Purdue. After completion of the assessment, the weakest areas identified were community data and community partnerships. A group of stakeholders convened and participated in Lean Six Sigma Training for Public Health Professionals and continued moving forward with the group.
