Biographical Note:

Ida Strawn Baker was an Indianapolis artist and president of Waldcraft Laboratories Inc. (1930s – 1942). Baker was also an Indianapolis art and craft supply businesswoman. The Waldcraft Center served as a non-profit group that offered assistance to artists, and professional help in crafts and frescos.

Scope and Content Note:

The collection consists of 1 folder and 7 volumes. The folder contains an undated poem titled Black Billy. The 7 volumes are diaries and/or sketch books of Baker. The diaries consist of Baker’s daily like, business affairs, and various trips to Europe, California, and World War 1 army camps.
